I offer one-to-one supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors in Taunton, Minehead and online. As an integrative psychotherapist, I bring a holistic, creative and collaborative approach, offering space to reflect on your work, develop your practice and process the emotional demands of counselling.

My approach to supervision.
My approach draws on Hawkins and Shohet’s seven-eyed model, elements of Page and Wosket’s cyclical model, and Michael Carroll’s seven generic tasks of supervision. These frameworks help us explore your client work, the therapeutic relationship, your responses as a counsellor, the supervisory relationship and the wider context in which you practise.
Creativity is part of this process. Together, we can explore different ways of reflecting on your work, opening up fresh perspectives when something feels complex or stuck. I adapt the way we work to your needs, interests and stage of professional development.
I see supervision as having three connected purposes:
Formative — learning and development: space to deepen your understanding, develop your skills and connect theory with practice.
Normative — ethical and accountable practice: space to explore professional boundaries, responsibilities and ethical dilemmas, drawing on relevant professional codes and frameworks, including the BACP Ethical Framework.
Restorative — support and resilience: space to process challenging work, acknowledge its emotional impact and sustain your capacity to practise.
My aim is to offer a supervisory relationship in which you can speak openly, bring uncertainty and engage with thoughtful, supportive challenge.
My experience and professional background
I am an integrative psychotherapist and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). I bring 15 years’ experience in the counselling field, 14 years’ teaching experience and two years of providing supervision.
I hold an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice from Bath Spa University, awarded in 2025, a Level 5 Higher Diploma in Counselling Practice and a BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. I also hold Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status and am a Certified Cyber Therapist with the Online Therapy Institute.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am Course Leader in Counselling at University Centre Somerset. Following the closure of Iron Mill College, I am continuing to teach its remaining cohort at Hartwood College for Counselling and Psychotherapy on the Dartington Estate in Totnes.
My experience of training counsellors, assessing clinical skills and working with placement providers informs how I support learning, reflection and ethical practice in supervision.
I have undertaken supervision training with Robin Shohet and attend regular continuing professional development. This includes four consecutive years attending the Transform Trauma Conference in Oxford, alongside training in approaches including Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Compassionate Inquiry.
Supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors
Whether you are beginning your clinical practice or bringing years of experience, we will explore what you need from supervision and agree how we can work together.
For trainee counsellors, we will consider your stage of development, client work, learning needs and course or placement requirements. Before starting, you will need to confirm that your training provider accepts the proposed supervisory arrangement.
For qualified counsellors, supervision offers ongoing space to reflect on clinical work, explore complexity, strengthen ethical practice and attend to your development and wellbeing as a practitioner.
Locations, fees and availability
I offer one-to-one supervision in person in Taunton and Minehead, and online.
My fee is £60 per hour, or £90 for 90 minutes.
We will agree the frequency and duration of sessions around your needs, starting from 1.5 hours per calendar month and taking account of applicable professional requirements. Trainees may need more frequent sessions or additional hours to meet their course, placement and client-work requirements.
I currently have availability for new supervisees.
