Black Mirror Talk at BTC RESEARCH & SCHOLARSHIP SYMPOSIUM

I will be delivering a 20 minute talk at Bridgwater and Taunton College, University Centre Somerset in Wellington Road, Taunton on Monday 17th June at 2.50pm.

In this talk I will be covering the following:

 Black Mirror – the relationship between technology and wellbeing

UK adults are increasingly living their lives through social media platforms spending an average of 8 hours 41 minutes a day on screens, more time than we spend sleeping. Recent socio-political events (Brexit, Trump, fake news) have highlighted the effect technology is having on our society. How is technology influencing how we feel about and see ourselves? How is it affecting our learners? What can we do to help or change?
